Brilliance

May 24, 2025 | Poetry

Stopping at the store
To pass the time
Broken wheels
And cold hands
Lines forever long

Brilliant little flowers everywhere
Dripping dew
Rolling crystalline core
Shattered in space

Walk hand and hand
Stroll around the stones
Find the center
Retrace

An unknown rainstorm
Catching us unaware
And we shelter

You are lost in the woods
A mystery to me
I sit and wait too

A moonlit walk across
Passing a bench in a cove
So perfect
To not be touched

A crumpled bag
Carrots and cellophane
We part ways
